VisitScotland Information Partner programme

Increasingly our visitors tell us how much they rely on, and trust, the information they receive from local people they interact with whilst on holiday here. On top of this, we recognise the wonderful service and information that many businesses offer their visitors and guests, promoting their local area.

With this in mind we could like your help to reach more people with more quality information and advice by developing Scotland's tourism community. A community visible on the ground to every visitor through our accredited iKnow VisitScotland Information Partner programme and an online Scotland Community that will harness a new digital platform to provide real-time assistance, advice and information to more visitors online.

Why is this important? Advocacy is the most powerful form of marketing and by harnessing your 'ScotSpirit' and passion for going the extra mile to ensure Scotland information is readily available on the ground and online we will continue to grow the value of tourism to Scotland and continue Scotland's reputation for delivering a quality product and service.

This initiative sees a new phase in our marketing approach where we no longer market Scotland for Scotland but with Scotland helping us to achieve our ultimate goal of a must visit, must return destination.

The VisitScotland Information Partner (VIP) programme has been developed to recognise and support the great effort that businesses across all sectors undertake to bring the Spirit of Scotland to life and help our visitors make informed choices to ensure they get the most from their visit.

The VIP programme is open to all Quality Assured businesses, community groups and social enterprises. It also allows businesses to get recognised for their efforts in providing information to visitors and is completely free for them to participate.
