VisitScotland provides face-to-face information provision and inspiration to visitors through a Scotland-wide network of iCentres (Information Centres), some of which are open all year round.
Our iCentres remain at the heart of information delivery. Our knowledgeable and passionate staff provide a personalised service to visitors, offering authenticity in a way that the web cannot, making their visit even more memorable and helping them to experience all the local area and surrounding regions have to offer.
Our iCentres also offer information and inspiration in the form of leaflets and literature on things to see and do locally. Many of the iCentres offer free Wi-Fi and some also offer touch-point computers to browse our website – Visitors can also get help with accommodation reservations, book tours, entrance passes to visitor attractions and buy tickets for public transport services operated by CalMac, CityLink and National Express.

We are constantly reviewing our iCentre network in line with customer demands and trends to ensure our properties are used to their full potential, are located where there is visitor demand and effectively benefit the local economy.


In 2015, the network welcomed over 3 million visitors through the door but information and customer experience doesn’t just sit at the door of an iCentre – it comes from a wide range of people and places, from mobile apps to personal recommendations.
