SCOTLAND 2017 HISTORY HERITAGE ARCHAEOLOGY CLAN LAMONT PRESENTS “HANDS ACROSS THE SEAS” CLAN LAMONT ANNUAL GATHERING

 

Friday 1st

10 am Welcome to Cowal drinks meet and greet.

12 noon Bus leaves for tour to Toward Castle. Archaeologist will talk about the 1972 dig, morning coffee & shortbread at Toward village hall, visit Knockdow house, Inverchaolain church, afternoon tea at the manse.

7.30pm Musical and drama production of the Lamont story by the Dunoon Grammar school drama and music department followed by a ceilidh for the young people and their families of Dunoon.

 

Saturday 2nd

10 am AGM.

11 am Parade to the memorial for a short wreath laying service. Dunoon grammar school pipe band will lead.

12 noon Scottish fun on the new pier and castle gardens. Lamont exhibition, exhibition of history of Inverchaolain. Dunoon grammar school pipe band, walking the tweed, highland dancing, Fyne ales, Arran whisky, Cowal music club, crafters tables, and much more.

7 pm Dinner, short after dinner speaker during coffee.

9 pm Clan members ceilidh. Dancing to Canned Haggis.

 

Sunday 3rd

10 am Bus leaves from Burgh Hall, Dunoon for church service in Kilfinan Church, then tour of the Lamont vault, lunch will be in Kilfinan village hall then farewells.
